Yesterday
Yesterday morning around 5 am I heard Magnus cough a few times. As in, about three cough/barks. Which didn't wake him up. When he got up, he was fine.
Becca was at preschool and the boys were playing in the downstairs playroom. I went upstairs to grab a gulp of coffee. Have you ever noticed that all the interesting/hurting things the boys do is while I am drinking coffee? Anywho, Dougie starts screaming his head off. Turns out, Ben had closed the door to the laundry room. Which has a cat door. I walk down there and all I see are his little legs a-kickin' frantically. If he hadn't been so freaked, I would very much so have gone for the camera. Removal involved turning him sideways and tugging. Unhappy child.
And then around 11 or so, Magnus gave a few coughs. Seal barks. Not many. But then he started with the hoarse wheezing breathing. I called the dr's office and they suggested using a humidifier and giving him Robitussin. Ben came home for lunch with Becca. I ran out to Walgreens to get robitussin. ben set up the humidifier. We dosed Magnus and put the boys down for their naps. I was sitting on the sofa in the family room when all of a sudden I heard water trickling and running.
The humidifier decided to disgorge its entire contents onto the floor of the boys room. Which is carpeted. So the water ran down the painted wood paneling into the family room. As well as into the wall between the family room and the boys room.
So I did the towel dance on the floor of the boys room to get as much as possible. And then I ran downstairs to wipe off the wall. And ran back upstairs to towel dance on a fresh towel. And back downstairs. And it was fun.
And then Magnus woke up. And was wheezing fit to beat the band. I set him on the sofa in the family room and went to get the phone in the kitchen. And could hear his wheezing breathing in the next room. The nurse heard him over the phone and said he needed to go in.
So, upshot is that Magnus has brochiolitis. He is on Albuterol, Orapred, Robitussin and Motrin. And the dr thinks he will be fine for Becca's birthday. Non-germy.

I can't believe how upbeat you are. If I had a day like that, I'd be totally crabby.
