My boys
Their birthday is this Thursday. The big 0-2. And they are a heck of a lot of fun. Even if they drive me batty at times.
It's funny, because there are days where I will say out loud, 'You kids are driving me batty!' and Becca will correct me. 'No we're not. We're driving you crazy!'
So Dougie. A biting fool. And strong. He will put a hand on a chair and the other hand on the coffee table and lift his lower body up and start swinging himself while shouting 'whee!'. It's like watching a gymnast. I'm not sure, but I don't think it's normal for a two year-old to be able to support his full weight and swing it around.
He's turning all boy. He walks around with handfuls of Hot Wheels and Matchboxes. He will carry around an action figure, having the figure fly. Cars, truck, trains all drive around everywhere. He loves Diego (Deego and wahwaur) and the Backyardigans.
He has words. His newest one is 'slide'. If you sit down then your leg will be used as a slide by Dougie for his toys. He will patiently explain to you that you are a slide. He loves bubbles. He asks for them daily. Dougie would live on a diet of straight yogurt if you let him. He says Mommy and Daddy now. He gives hugs and kisses. He loves books and being read to. He is trying to learn letters. He will recite 'A D A D A D A D'. He knows red and yellow and says them. He tries to count, even though he doesn't have numbers yet and doesn't understand them, but he seems to be getting the concept.
Magnus. He has word. No. And an all-purpose 'mom'. Which has nothing to do with me. But his emphasis noises are starting to sound closer to words every day. You could almost count some of them as words, but he doesn't reuse them enough.
He makes himself quite clear in what he wants. In the past few weeks some of the extra memorable ones are, him letting me know that I need to get the pencil sharpener for the colored pencils and him putting Ben in time-out.
Magnus takes shorter naps than Dougie. They both go to sleep at the same time. When Magnus gets up first, he opens the bedroom door, comes out and closes the door behind him. He's patient about Dougie still sleeping for about 20 minutes. Then he complains to me and goes up to wake poor Dougie.
Magnus likes books for cuddling next to me. He doesn't really listen to the story. He mostly snatches the book away to get a reaction from me and Dougie. He likes to throw toys. Again, for the reaction. He will look me in the eye and pitch it.
Magnus loves clothes. Clothing can't be kept in drawers in this house. He will pick out clothes for himself in the morning and bring them down to me. He will select several more outfits during the course of the day. He will carry around random armfuls of clothes.
The other night all the kids had their baths. I was looking around for the clean panties I had gotten out for Becca. I asked Ben if he had seen them. We were both looking around. And then I saw Magnus standing up and pulling them to his waist. He can dress himself, but he isn't quite that hot at keeping one leg per leg of pants.
Magnus is a fan of building with Duplos. Well, both boys are, but Magnus gets into it more. We don't have enough Duplos to keep them both happy. He loves when you give him something and ask him to put it in the trash for you.
He is trying to write letters. He will be drawing and he will ask you to draw with him. I tend to write letters. He watches me carefully and then starts drawing about a half-inch large circles and spirals. He is left-handed. He loves peanut-butter as much as Becca.
I brought Becca home from dance class one week and Magnus rushed up to her and unzipped her coat and started tugging it off. Once it was on the floor, he kept giving Becca hugs. Dougie saw this and wanted in on the fun also. It was a kid hugfest for about 15 minutes.
I'm sure I will think of other things to add.

Your kids sound like so much fun! Reading that really made me miss working with toddlers and two year olds.
