Jokes are good
Dougie told his first knock-knock joke yesterday. Becca and I were exchanging some new Backyardigans jokes and he decided to join in.
D: Knock, knock
me: Who's there?
D: eh
me: eh who?
D: blank pause for a bit and then dissolving into peals of laughter and falling on the floor.
About 10 minutes later he tried out another one on Ben.
D: Knock, knock
B: Who's there?
D: Duh!
B: duh who?
D: quah quah followed by laughter and bouncing off the furniture. literally.
I think it's pretty darn cool. The second one was clearly a duck and quack quack. He's starting to get it down. Of course, Becca still tells us jokes that we don't get at all. And she follows them with a replay and an excited, 'Get it?!'
Magnus idolizes Becca. She is the coolest person ever to him. And because she gets her hair done in the morning before school, he tries to get me to do his. He is walking around with a ponytail holder in a little tuft of hair on top of his head right now. He tried to get out the door, but the knob cover blocked him. It's pretty cute.

William had his first joke recently too. He will come up to one of us and say "Mommy... Mommy... Mommy..." until I say "What?" Then he looks right at you and says "Nevermind..!!" And falls over laughing... he likes to do this randomly throughout the day.
It's best when I say.. "Hey William" and he says "What?" and I get to say "Nevermind!" to him.. he thinks that's our special joke.
