I received one of those nice little updates from the Social Security Admin this week. If I stop working now, which I have, at age 62 I will receive $630/month. If I continue working until my full retirement age (67) I will receive $895/month. So, if I work another 37.25 years, the benefit to me for social security is only an additional $265/month. Here’s a little tidbit I’ve learned. Stomach acid on sensitive skin (such as a nipple) burns. It stings. It all around is uncomfortable. Try not to throw up on yourself.
Stop and think. Who is more obsessed with boobs? Males or females? Offhand, I’d have to say females. Odd.
This is a sad day. My own mother has told me that I need to write about things other than poo and leaky diapers. This is my life.
My child is gaining weight at the rate of near one pound per week. She is now 15 pounds. I have an infant car seat that is good to 22 pounds. At this rate, I must purchase a new car seat in 7 weeks. Disappointing. I had hoped to have the conveinence of the infant car seat longer. Perhaps I will get lucky, and her weight gain will taper off.
Since I seem to be on a roll, here is another post involving poo. Miss Rebecca is a leaker. As in diaper leaker. I don’t think a single day has gone by in the past 3 weeks where I haven’t had to change her outfit due to this at least once. On one memorable day, 4 times. We aren’t talking just wet leaks. Apparently green poo in a breastfed baby can be an indicator of at least two things. One. The baby is only getting the foremilk, which is very watery and not enough of the hindmilk, which is the thicker stuff that keeps them happy longer. Not our issue, as Miss Rebecca is a one-boober. Yesterday I feed Rebecca lying down on the sofa. When she was done, I was rather sleepy and we both took a nap without moving. I woke up later to find a baby happily stealing food from me. It was rather amusing. Someone is not as helpless as she likes to portray herself.

I am so cool! I calculated our taxes last week. Today, I filed them electronically with only one charge of $7.95 for the electronic filing of Missouri taxes. Also, the returns calculated by the online program came out to match my calculations. Woo Hoo! They claim the average turnaround for electronic filing with direct deposit is 8-16 days. I am happily spending my money before I have it.
