Fight!
The highlight of today definately had to be watching Ben struggle with Becca for possession of her booger.
Heading out
Three weeks from now, the Vierck family will be going on
vacation. We will have a housesitter, so don’t view this as an
opportunity to break into our house to steal our valuable collection of
diapers and wipes. Not even our peanut-butter smeared chairs will
be for your taking. Though it is rather artfully applied.
We may be crazy to attempt this. Travelling to another state with
five...
It's twisting time!
I placed an order last month for wrapping paper. You know, the
school fund-raiser kind. the mom and her daughter were going
door-to-door. I was also able to let them know that I would be a
great market when it comes to Girl Scout cookie time.
Anywho, Sunday was delivery day. Becca had just come downstairs
from her nap. Becca has discovered the joy of sleeping with her
head under the covers. ...
Don't get an attitude about my kid
Our dishwasher came with the house. It was purchased by the
sellers in Spring 2004. It is a Maytag. It has never dried
dishes. Not that I expect my dishes to be bone-dry, but these are
dripping when I take them out. We have to line everything up on
the counter to dry before we can put it away. I am not going to
assemble bottles to put away so that the water sitting in there can get
nasty....
Picture time!
The kids pictures are being taken Friday. I do not currently have
either the time or the energy to call everyone. If you want
photos, contact me and tell me how many, which kid or all three and
what size. Be prepared to pay for your own pictures. We do
have three kids, after all.
Exercise isn't all it's cracked up to be
We have two boys. We have two exersaucers. We had one from Becca. The other one is courtesy of Keisha/Lavonne/Miss Multiple-Personality, as her kids are too old for it. Both exersaucers are the same.
Both boys enjoy the exersaucer. They will only tolerate the
exersaucer at the same time for 3 minutes, however. It would make
more sense if one of them consistently did not have fun with...
work-related injury
We returned home form the drs yesterday. I collected the mail. I found
a letter from a company that works with our health insurance company.
They wanted to know if Magnus’ hernia surgery was a work-related
injury. They were fully prepared to go after his place of employment so
they could be reimbursed for the medical costs. I called the
phone number on the letter. I was asked to verify (they...
20 pounds a piece
The result of this afternoon’s drs visit is another virus. This one
most likely causing stomach cramps which would be the cause of the
screaming in pain. All we can do for them at this point is to give them
Tylenol. They have both gained almost a pound each since last
weeks visit. Magnus is up to 20 lbs 10 oz and Dougie is 19 lbs
11.25 oz. Lucky us.
being spazzy
Every time I call the dr’s office with a question, they always tell me
that I should bring my kid/kids in to get checked to rule out an ear
infection or something else. The one time I call and tell them my boys
nees to be checked, they tried to talk me out of it. Ugh. So
last week, the boys were 1.5 weeks into their colds. Then the face
rash, coughing and ear pulling started. We took them in...
340 million. OH MY
The next Powerball jackpot is estimated at $340 million. OH….MY… Figuring
a 50% tax bracket off that, you are looking at 170 million. You could
start tossing around million like they were candy for trick-or-treaters. TLC
had a show that they re-run everyone once in awhile about lottery
winners. This one guy had won something in the neighborhood of 90 mil.
He was rather humorous. Can...
I'm calling my friend Mommy
Becca is extremely intelligent. She has learned how to play
me. Yesterday, after she and her brothers had driven me
absolutely nuts and completely worn me out, she got me. I was so
tired that I fell asleep on the sofa at 4:30 with the laptop on my
lap. The boys were napping in their swings. Becca sat next
to me watching ‘Monsters, Inc.’ and playing Wiggles games on the
laptop. I...
Dougie has telekinetic powers
I took Dougie’s sleeper off him, as he had soaked it with
spit-up. I changed his diaper and set him in his
exersaucer. I sat on the sofa with Becca a few minutes. While
sitting there happily playing Wiggles games with my daughter, watching
my two boys each contentedly exploring their exersaucers, I noticed
there was something rotten in Denmark. Small clouds of green gas
kept reaching my...
Someone who will remain nameless (Ben)
Well, the boys both slept through the night last night for the first
time. Or did they? Someone who will remain nameless (Ben) being the
last person upstairs was supposed to bring up the monitor. Someone
(Ben) forgot to bring up said monitor. I woke up when someone’s (Ben)
alarm went off this morning, feeling guilty that I hadn’t taken any of
the wake-ups. I then asked someone (Ben)...
Anyone want to trade?
At the boys 4 month check-up, the dr recommended Becca having a flu
shot this year, as she is in swim class, gym class and kids day out.
She said to call in the second week of October to schedule the appt for
that. I did not call Monday, because that is the day everyone
calls about their kids that came down sick over the weekend. I called
today, shortly after the office opened, and was given an...
Are they given an allowance
I watch a show on TLC called Moving Up. People sell a house to
the buyers and come back for a walk-through tour about 4 months later
to see the changes. The majority of the shows I have seen involve
major changes. Completely redoing the kitchen.
Incorporating the garage into living space in the house. Moving
interior walls and gutting bathrooms. I just don’t understand
where the buyers...
I need new underwear
I need new underwear. What I have is full of holes. No
terribly surprising, as I purchased it before we ever got pregnant with
Becca. I know this for a fact, as it is dotted in the back with
blood spots from all the progesterone injections we had to do. I
think it was purchased probably about 2000. I remember that I
wasn’t all that upset about the blood spots, since it wasn’t new....
play kitchen
This christmas should be a lot of fun. In the past two christmases,
Becca wasn’t old enough to get very exciting toys. Last year, she was
in the wasteland that is two years old. There are lots of toys for 1-2
years olds, then it skips to 3 up. The 2-3 range doesn’t really seem to
exist. A friend (Pam) suggested I get her a play kitchen.
Apparently William is fond of his, so the boys...
