Yesterday was my dr’s appt. I had no weight gain in the past two weeks. Some may say that isn’t a big deal. We are talking about two babies in the third trimester here. They are gaining weight. This means that I am losing weight. I don’t need to lose weight. I am only up 28 lbs, including the IVF cycle. I need to have some fat stores. I am planning to breastfeed two...
I think I am about ready for the boys to get here. It would definately be better if we are in the new house first, but either way. I have a few more hooded towels and washcloths. I could stand even more, but it isn’t urgent. I have bedding for them. I ordered their first twin stroller and twin nursing pillow today. I have plenty of clothing. I have two swings. I have two infant...
On Friday somewhere around 10-10:30 while sitting at the computer and doing my basic morning surfing when I realized the right side of my tummy and back were starting to ache. I went and laid down on the sofa on my left side for a while. Within about 20 minutes, the pain was what could be termed ‘bad’. I went and emptied my bladder, (a full bladder can irritate the uterus) and ate...
I had my ultrasound at the Perinatal Center today. About 10 minutes into it, I started to feel bad. I turned onto my left side some and she continued the ultrasound. Then she couldn’t get any more measurements that way. I went back onto my back. That lasted all of 2 minutes. I turned onto my right side, just to get off my back so that she could get the measurements she needed. Too...
We are 28 weeks. If you go by my dr saying the average delivery is 35 weeks and the perinatologist saying that I won’t be allowed to go beyond 38, that means I have 7-10 weeks left. I honestly don’t know where I will put these boys in the meantime. The amount of stretch marks I have is amazing to me. They are concentrated on my lower right. The last time I had a quick scan to...
Now I’m pissed at KETC. This is the third week in a row without Sesame Street in the afternoon. At the 2:00 timeslot where it should be, both yesterday and today, has been Andre Ruie: Live in Tuscany. How many times do they need to show that? Not to mention, how many people interested in that are home in the middle of the day to watch? They sure as hell won’t get money from me...
We have a child safety lock on our bathroom door. I just don’t want Becca in there playing in the toilet. Anyhow, today she ran out of her bedroom and tried to open the bathroom door. I went down the hall and opened it for her. She said ‘poopy’ and lifted the lid on her potty. She was getting ready to sit down when I unsnapped her onesie and pulled off her diaper. She sat...
I had my appt with the perinatologist yesterday. If their scale is adjusted the same as my ob’s scale, then I have only put on 2 lbs in the last 3 weeks. I will find out for sure next week. That would be due to starting the diabetic diet. With Becca, I started losing weight on that diet. Everything looks fine right now. My dr’s office forgot to test to see if I am anemic. That is...
I have been calling around for insurance quotes on the new home. I had one company tell me that the replacement cost of the home is less than the value of the home because the value of the home includes the lot and even if the entire structure burned, there would still be a basement. I have read where Florida residents have been having problems with the insurance companies not giving them what...
I just realized that I don’t watch Discovery Channel at all anymore. I looked at the evening line-up for this week. All week long, its Monster Garage, American Hotrod and American Chopper, etc. Shouldn’t these shows be shifted to a mechanics channel? The only thing I watch on TLC is the occasional Baby Story. It’s a shame that cable is getting so much worse than it already...
Today is 26 weeks. The stretch marks have begun their foray into the unexplored realm of upper belly. Also known as the zone above the bellybutton. sigh I will be getting plastic surgery when I am all done with kids. I will get my tummy tightened back up, and my boobs pulled back to where they should be, not on my lap. Only 26 weeks, and it is amazing how many people ask me if the baby is...
We have bought a house. We now will have more than enough room for the boys, Becca and the frozen embies when they come along as well. We will be moving in the end of April. I don’t know how I will be feeling then, I may have to watch out for everyone throwing houses at me. If not, we will probably have an open house sometime shortly thereafter.
I have one, repeat ONE pair of pants that fit me now. My shirts are all getting too short. Everything is uncomfy, including my bathrobe, which is barely meeting. I may have to sit around until the boys get here wrapped in a shower curtain. Not a clear one. Becca has slept through the night in her own bed for the past five nights in a row. I am probably jinxing myself by bragging, but its...
