All the utilities are set to be switched to our names tomorrow.  The phone will be turned on Thursday.  We are switching the house over to Charter service, so we have to wait for them to come out.  I even have schedule a locksmith to come to the house tomorrow afternoon to rekey all the locks.  Ben is getting our cashier’s check for closing this afternoon.  I think we are set. If you want to...

Had my last ultrasound yesterday.  Or at least, it should be my last.  The boys are weighing in at 4 lbs 9 oz and 4 lbs 12 oz.  The perinatologist said that if they are born in two weeks, we should be able to take them home with us, as in, no NICU time.  I am on weekly NSTs.  That’s non-stress test.  I have to lie down in a recliner, which isn’t as good as it sounds, as I start to feel...

Becca just walked into the guest room where I was sitting on the computer, counting her steps.  Then she started jumping instead of stepping and she continued to count.  The amazing part is that she counted up to 34 before she lost interest.  My baby is brilliant.

Becca is becoming so polite!  She has said ‘thank you’ for some time now, but now she is saying ‘thank you very much’.  I just sneezed and she said ‘bless you’.  Some of her gas expulsions she puts a fair amount of effort into now, so I’ve been prompting her to say ‘excuse me’.  She ignores me on those.  But if she sneezes, she says her version...

I had a perinatologist appt yesterday.  I was lectured about the weight loss.  She was telling me that apparently, redheads like to bleed, and with the weight loss, will come anemia.  Add that to my c-section, and I should apparently be force-feeding myself.  I did point out that I am on iron pills, so she said I might be okay. So there I am, 32 weeks with twins, and my fundus measurement was only...

We finally received the home inspection and the list of what the buyer wants us to handle.  I’m thinking we will go ahead and do it all, except one item, for which we will credit the buyer $100.  Some of these things are just silly.  We are supposed to repair or replace the non-working smoke detector in the hallway.  How about we just replace the worn-out battery?  We are supposed to repair...

Had another dr appt today.  I have lost 4 lbs in the last two weeks.  Apprently, my uterus is still growing, so he isn’t too concerned.  Growth of the babies will be checked at my ultrasound on the 25. We went ahead and scheduled the 38 week c-section.  He asked if day of the week made any difference.  I requested a Thursday, as he does scheduleds on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  This way, all of...

The buyer has scheduled the home inspection for 10:15 tomorrow morning.  You may say, well, that’s good that you don’t have to maintain the level of cleanliness in your house for long’.  Yes, it is good.  But, I am watching my nephew tomorrow, it is forecast to rain all day, we have Parents As Teachers coming at noon (the inspection takes two hours) and that has already been...

The sign in our yard says ‘Under Contract’.  Not only did we receive two offers today, but right after the acceptance of our counter-offer was faxed over, our agent received a call that another contract was being written.  I do feel sorry for these other two couples.  It must be rather upsetting to find a house you are willing to make a large financial commitment to, and not be able to...

I held Open House today.  In addition to the at least 10 people/couples/families that came on their own, we had 10 showings with agents.  In fact, the last showing of the day is going as I type. We have two offers.  We have counter-offered on one, if they don’t respond as we would like with the friendly figures, we will start on the other one. There is another agent showing scheduled for 11...

The house officially went on the market Wednesday, with no showings until Saturday.  I am holding Open House both Saturday and Sunday from 12-4.  We have 4 agents coming by tomorrow between 10-11 with their clients who can’t make the open house.  There are several others who will come during open house.  While outside this evening, planting flowers at the mailbox to make it inviting, 5...

I’m sitting here watching Judge Judy (yes, I am a loser) and I’m totally flabbergasted.  A woman is suing(?) her daughter for the cost of the internet classes she needed to take in order to graduate high school, as well as her daughter’s prom dress, yearbook and the shoes her daughter wore to graduation.  Correct me if I’m wrong, but the classes at the least are part of the...

The carpet is installed.  It is hell having to watch a 2 year old for 2.5 hours in the kitchen.  They showed up 40 min early, which didn’t give me a chance to get ready.  Plus, you have to walk through the family room (the room that got the carpet) to get to any other room in the house.  Sucky.

The house officially went on the market today.  The For Sale sign went in the yard at 2pm.  When the agent came by for Ben to do his share of signing at 6, there had already been a call to see the house.  Too bad.  No showings until Saturday.  We are having Open House on Saturday and Sunday.  New carpet is being installed in the hallway and family room tomorrow. Merry Maids gave me a quote for...

Ben and Tim put new linoleum in our kitchen on Saturday.  We have new baseboard in our bedroom.  We will have new chair rail in our bedroom this evening.  The guy is coming tomorrow to measure our family room for carpet and it will be installed Thursday.  Becca was signed up for two half days a week daycare for this summer.  The awesome thing about that is that it is right next door to Ben’s...

Ben has set up voting on his website for the boys’ names.  Suggestions also accepted.  Go vote.

Pottery Barn Kids has a chenille changing pad cover for $19.  I was thinking of getting 1-2 more covers for the boys, seeing as how I’m not even sure where the other ones I have are, and at least one of them is coming apart at the seams.  Babies R Us has terrycloth pad covers for $13.  Given a choice, I would definately choose to have the chenille under my tushie.  It’s very tempting...

Am I the only one who thought that Denzel Washington’s hair on the Letterman show last night made him look like Mr. Spock?
