Magnus’s surgery is over. We are home and he is sleeping. He only had the one hernia. Well, apparently the hernia space that the scope was going to be sent to the other side through was too small for the scope. The surgeon did a full palpatation of the other side while Magnus was under and didn’t feel a hernia. All in all, it didn’t go too badly. Not that I would be willing...
My child insists on calling cheesy poofs, cheesy poops. Not appetizing.
Becca had her first swim lesson today. For part of it, I had to lift her out of the pool onto the floor for her to jump to me. She didn’t jump. I had to lift her back into the pool on the jump cue, so that she would learn how to do this. The water depth was 3.5 feet. Becca weighs 40 pounds. We repeated this procedure approx. 15 times. A bit of catch-up. Yes, Magnus will be put under for his surgery. I asked the surgeon how risky that is, as he is so young. I was told that it was more risky for me to put him in the car and drive him back home. At this point in time, I am not very bothered by the idea of him having the surgery. I am sure when the day comes, I will be a basket case. At least he won’t know what is going...
