Irksome Nurses
So Becca has the asthma thing. That means that she is on one pulmicort nebulizer treatment daily. If she has a cold or is coughing then she is supposed to have albuterol with the pulmicort. And two of those a day. Also two just albuterol treatments. Well, diluted with saline. She woke up coughing fit to beat the band last night. And crying. And coughing this morning. Butterfly/Tiger
Becca is currently doing the Butterfly/Tiger. This entails running around in circles flapping your arms and roaring. She had her class Halloween party today. I went with the boys to watch. They sang Five Little Pumpkins. That was really cool, because at my preschool Halloween party we sang Five Little Pumpkins. Continuity.
Child brag
Sesame Street has an episode titled, ‘Bob’s Deaf Niece’. I know
the title because we have MOXI which shows titles on recorded shows.
Anywho.
Becca watched this episode last week. Becca is now signing her name. As well as Mommy and Daddy.
Because my child is BRILLIANT! Off of one watching. She is
spelling out the words. And she is doing it correctly.
Nyah nyah.
D'accord
It has been settled. Becca informed me that her brothers are
going to be pirates for Halloween. This is acceptable to
me. So, we will be going to the fabric store this evening to get
a pattern and fabric. And if my brain is working, I will take the
baby sweater I knit so that I can get buttons for that. And I
lost (with the boys help) the buttons I had for Becca’s slippers.

Well!
Becca slept through the night last night. No coughing, no
wake-ups. This is very much not the regular thing. I won’t
be as upset about her having to have nebulizer treatments daily (four
times a day when she has a cough or cold) if this is the result.
I have also noticed that the shadows under her eyes are not as
pronounced.
Since Spring Becca has been somewhat short-tempered and...
Allergist Results
I have the best brother-in-law in the world!
Becca had her allergist appointment today. It turns out that she
is allergic to cats. And dogs, not that we have one
anymore. And not only is she allergic, but she has been allergic
for so long that she has developed asthma. This is why she is
waking up at night coughing. For the PAST YEAR. Which I did
mention to the dr. But he did say that the...
SOCK!
I have completed my first sock! I could be hooked. I keep surfing around, drooling over sock yarn online.
Did you know that you can make yourself socks from bamboo yarn? Or silk? Or a combo? And such pretty colors!
I blame it all on Fluid Pudding.

Becca was asking me what I will be for Halloween.
‘You can be a pumpkin, or a lion, or whatever you want.’
‘How about I be a mommy?’
‘Ummm. I don’t think that’s a good idea.’
Fun fun fun!
Wow! I was working on knitting some socks last night. I
made it to the heel part. It was getting late, so I should have
left it alone, but no. It looked interesting.
I have made a heel flap and turned a hell and was working on the
gussets at 1 am when I finally went to bed. That was a
blast! I have this urge to make numerous pairs of socks just for
the fun of the heel.
