Oooohh, stuff
I am surfing around looking at scrapbooking goodies. I have been
carrying around my stuff in a cardboard moving box. Not
convenient, and my box is getting ready to break. I am thinking
of the Big Daddy.
I’m pretty sure that I can’t fill it up yet, but give me time. I
keep meeting more people who are interested in scrapping and they at
least pretend that they would like to crop...
Science Center
We will attempt a family outing to the Science Center today.
Perhaps we will see you there. If you don’t go, then we won’t.
Crop
I went to Aubrey’s crop today. There was fun. There was talk of men. There was talk of
scrapbooking. There was talk of doing it again. Not the
actual act of ‘doing it’, because that wasn’t done at the crop.
Perhaps the excuse of scrapbooking for social time.
I completed TWO WHOLE PAGES. Yes, I rock.
I also had my hair cut today. It is now a round old-lady...
Play dates
We have had two occassions where parents have talked to Ben about
setting up play dates with their daughters and Becca. They give
Ben their phone numbers and he passes them on to me.
The first occassion was at gym class. It was the father of one of
the newer students from when the new session began. I don’t know
the daughter’s name. I don’t know the mother’s...
The List
Ben and I have a list. It is a revenge list. Things our
children have done to us which we will return to them in due time.
When Becca is driving, we will enact retribution for all the months
where there was screaming in the car whenever we were stopped at a
light. Preferably, when she has friends in the car. It
would probably be best to wait until she has a bit of experience with
the driving,...
Lovely day
The only topper to my day right now would be the actual phone call.
We have been having the constipation/bladder infection problems with
Becca for about two months now. It cycles between several days of
constipation followed by several days of super runny, due to the stool
softener she is on.
I took the boys in to the doctor on Friday to be checked for the ear
infections they had. The dr asked...
Kite fun
Becca watched some of Sesame Street this morning. Elmo and Zoe
made kites. Becca had to make a kite as well. She is very
excited about flying her kite.
This kite has no hope of doing any flying other than Mommy or Daddy
waving it around. Why, you may ask? Because it currently
has approximately a half-gallon of Elmer’s glue in the process of
drying on it.
It is a beautiful kite. ...
Bridal Gowns
I spent my President’s Day shopping with a friend for a bridal
gown. Two different locations, two gowns found. Each gown
said, ‘You like me!’ Neither gown said, ‘You must wear be to your
wedding.’
One gown was $1600, the other was $600.
I’m thinking we need to search the mid-range, as we seem to have
touched on the two opposite ends. We went to Maiden...
Funk update
I have started reading a not so trashy book. The Wives of Henry VIII by Antonia Fraser. This is helping me keep my brain from leaking out of my ears.
Ben has given me his vote on which room to paint next. As much as
I would like to paint the play room for the kids, I can’t open any
windows down there to air out the fumes. I will wait until the
weather is better and the boys are walking...
Oops
I was in the kitchen, drinking my coffee as usual, watching Becca eat
her breakfast waffles and listening to the boys laugh in the family
room. I stupidly assumed that they were playing with each
other. Nope.
So far, Magnus HAD been the only one going up the stairs. No
longer. I come into the family room to watch them play and find
Douglas 4 steps up. While watching, with me standing right...
Good one
I would like to thank Jennifer. I have been sitting here in my
funk, surfing around for something of interest. I went over to
check Ben’s page a found a comment which made me laugh. Thank you
Jennifer (please drop a link to your blog in the comments). You also made Miss Multiple Personality laugh, and she
is having an extremely bad day. Twenty points to you on the big
karma scale.
Here...
Funk
I’m having a funk week. One of those periods of time where I am
sitting here completely bored with my existence. I get up in the
morning and see the long day stretching ahead. I am not normally
like this. Generally I enjoy spending the time with the kids and
watching to see what they come up with and what new things they will
do. I am still doing these things, it’s just done in...
That annoying title thing again
I think I have reached a new low. I just ordered diapers over the
internet. Although, the price is better than what I have been
paying in the store. We shall see how it works out.
Uh, yeah
I am an embarrassment to myself (okay, not really) and to others. It is best for you to not be out in public with me.
At the mall tonight I suddenly blurted out to the salesman that I had
not showered today, but I had changed my underwear. I don’t know
why I did this, I just did. I tend to have periods of time where
the censor in my brain takes off for a coffee break.
On another note...
Bedtime noise
Ben, I suppose in an effort to entertain the boys in the morning,
yesterday put Teletubbies in their cribs. The Teletubbies were
not removed when the children were placed in there for bedtime.
This from the man who took Magnus’ mirror out of his crib. Not that I
disagree. Magnus can wake up momentarily, have his eyes closing
and his head falling down tired and still force himself to play...
Donation Dilemna
I have clothing that I don’t wear anymore. I also have clothing
that the boys have outgrown. There are issues with this
clothing. I am unsure what to do with them.
My clothing. Most of the stuff I don’t wear anymore I donate to
Womens Another Chance or Goodwill. The particular clothing I have
in mind is my polo shirts from Pulaski Bank. I don’t work there
anymore and I...
It made me laugh
Yesterday, coming up to the time for morning nap, Magnus went from
happy and not at all tired to crying and wanting to eat and go straight
to sleep in 0.6 seconds. I fixed him a bottle and set him in his
swing. I went back into the kitchen to fix a bottle for
Dougie. Magnus starts crying again. I finish the bottle and
head into the family room.
Dougie saw Magnus get a bottle. Apparently,...
Bad people
Seeing as how today is Ben’s birthday, we went out to eat. He
finally chose Emporer’s Palace in Chesterfield Valley. Becca fell
asleep on the way there, so we just stuck her in her umbrella stroller
and set her next to the table. Food was great. Employees
were great.
We go to leave. I have the diaper bag and Magnus. Ben has
Douglas and is pushing the stroller with Becca. I get...
Happy Birthday Ben
Ben gets to be right one day of the year. That is right for everything. This is that day. Enjoy.
Birthday Party
I, being an unorganized person, left getting ready for the party to the
last minute. I ran out to Wal-Mart to purchase a crock pot to
make the BEST DIP IN THE WORLD. Buffalo chicken dip.
Yummy! I come back from the store to drop off my goodies and
start the dip before heading on to the grocery store. I open to
door to find Becca running all over the house shouting, ‘Is it time...
You really wanted to know this....
I’m sure you will all be excited to read that I have finally purchased
new underwear! I don’t yet have it, as I ordered them, but they
will be here soon. Maybe I should have a party! Or, perhaps
not.
Happy Birthday
My little boo is three today. She went off to school with a plate
of rice krispie treats for her class to eat at snack time. Of
course, she insists on calling them ‘rice christmas tree’. She
did not like Ben and I singing happy birthday to her this
morning. She kept telling us to stop. Ben had to tell the
teachers not to have the class sing to her. Last year, she would
freak when...
Threes
We has our bad event yesterday. Magnus started climbing
stairs. That may not sound bad to you. I can go into the
kitchen, take a swallow of coffee, come back into the family room and
only find one of my three children there as it is. Then it is
hunt-the-baby time in my household.
Magnus also had his first falling down the stairs yesterday. It was only 1.5 stairs, but he wasn’t happy...
