Today
Seeing as how the weather was so nice and Ben got home from work at 3:30 today, we played in the backyard this afternoon. Becca and I played hide and seek.  I would count while Becca hid.  After I was done counting, I would start looking around and doing a running commentary. “Is Becca in the sandbox?  No” The running commentary doesn’t work the way I thought it would....

Very sweet and yet nasty
Becca got two straws for her strawberry milk this evening.  A red one for her and a blue one for Mommy.  She put both of them into her little 4 oz. cup.  I was made to drink from the blue straw while she drank from the red straw.  It was very cute and sweet.  Our cheeks were side-by-side.  It would have been a wonderful photo. Right before putting the straws into the strawberry milk, she stirred...

Ugh!
I have gossipy-type stuff to discuss and no one to call right now.  Drat.

Banana Nut Bread
I am thinking it is baking time.  Becca loves the opportunity to cook.  Think about it.  What could be more perfect or more messy than handing her a large bowl of bananas and a masher?  Of course, this will mean that she will end up wanting to mash mass quantities of bananas, which will mean that I will be forced to make mass quantities of bread.  I am okay with that.

Wedding dress update
Thanks to the recommendation from Sarah, we went out to An Elegant Event this evening.  We have found ‘the dress’.  Of course, the bride is not fully ready to commit to ‘the dress’ just yet.  She still has the image of a dress she found online in her head.  Not that she has tried that dress on yet, as no one in the St. Louis area currently stocks it.  There is a store that...

When you're on a roll, keep rolling
I know someone who does something bad.  She purchases used organs from poor people in third-world countries on the cheap and resells them on the black market clearing a monster profit. It has been 1 day since the last blog drama incident.

Sit n Spin
I did not have a Sit n Spin as a child.  My mom claims that we did, but if so, why do I remember being so excited to play with my friend’s? Anywho, Friday night I went out to O’Fallon to the Triplet Mom’s Club sale.  I wasn’t able to find much in the way of clothes for the boys, but I did find this model.  For $5.  Becca loves it.  She askes me to play on it.  And I can. ...

There is no point in trying to have a discussion with someone who will only argue semantics. se·man·tics    ( P )  Pronunciation Key  (s-mntks) n. (used with a sing. or pl. verb) Linguistics. Hmmm
It is amazing the impression you can have of people without meeting them.  Add together crying phone calls at 2 in the morning, before you know what a drunk the person is and how regular those phone calls will become, with little snippets heard about.  Top that with blog posts where people DO NOT CLARIFY, and you can have a picture that is completely wrong from the actual. Not to say that the...

Asparagus
I ate an entire pound of asparagus tonight.  This is not something I would recommend.  Besides the whole issues of having to hold my breath every time I tinkle tomorrow, my stomach is very unhappy with me. It’s a shame I’m not a puker.  I could get it out and feel better.  But no, I must suffer for several hours until it passes. I predict that Dougie will be running by Saturday. ...

Pictures
I have started removing the old family photos from the nasty albums.  It is rather slow going, as these are 35 year old photos that have been in the sticky albums for at least 30 years.  There are also some papers stuck on the pages (birth announcement type things) that I have no idea how I will get them off.  If you have any experience with this, please share. I am really enjoying this.  I only...

Kid update
Douglas now stand on his own for periods of time.  He stands up and bounces.  He could probably walk now on his own if he wanted.  It’s pretty cool to watch him stand in one spot, holding onto nothing and dance.  He bends his knees and stands back up straight over and over without falling down. Magnus is having severe seperation anxiety at night.  He wakes up all night long.  If you pick...

Recap
I had previously asked Ben to take a half day from work yesterday, because of the ‘fantastic’ snow.  Becca likes to have company to play in the snow, and it wouldn’t work too well right now with the boys.  Ben came home, he and Becca shoveled out her name in the back yard.  They made a small frosty.  Since watching ‘Frosty the Snowman’, every single snowman is Frosty....

Sorry
I keep trying not to be whiney, and then I go off and do it again.  Just call me Britney. I thold Becca a long detailed story of Princess Becca that involved her playing in the snow, making snow angels, snowballs and making a snowman with Daddy.  I had it on good authority from several sources that we were guaranteed good snow.  I have been wronged!  I intend to file a complaint.  This is making...

Eh
I have kids with a great deal of energy today.  I have already danced around the house (by demand) to They Might Be Giants ‘No!’ while wearing a towel on my head.  The towel was to represent our long hair.  There have been many sessions of chase.  I have a bald spot on my scalp from playing on the floor with the boys.  I am worn out. Noone is posting anything interesting today.  Of...

Story time
Last night, I told the story of Princess Becca.  Princess Becca was a beautiful little girl whose Mommy and Daddy loved her very much.  Princess Becca loved to finger paint. There were pauses where I would ask Becca what happened next. Princess Becac played with Meredith.  Then she did a huge tuck jump, higher than Daddy and Miss Becky the gym teacher said Yea Becca!  Princess Becca went to the...

Yummy!
There’s nothing quite like having company over for dinner, sitting down to eat, and then having your daughter run up to you with both index fingers pointing to say, ‘Look!  I have two boogies!’.

I need wire clothes hangers.  They are required for selling clothing at the twin mom’s sale.  I do not have any.  If you happen to have some which you want to get rid of, please contact me.  Thanks

Cookie update
We received our Girl Scout cookies on Tuesday.  I have already realized that I drastically under-ordered.  We have gone through 3 of our 6 boxes of Lemon Coolers. Never fear.  I have placed an emergency order for an entire case of those luscious little happy bites.

Wrong choice of words
It really bothers me when news articles and journalists insist on referring to embryo TRANSFER as IMPLANTATION.  Trust me, if the Dr implanted the embryo, there would be a 100% success rate.  The embryo is merely TRANSFERRED into the uterus.  IMPLANTATION is something determined by factors out of our control. If you know anyone in this type of business, please correct them.

Clean
My carpets are clean.  While clearing the living and dining rooms to get ready for the carpet cleaning guys, I made the wonderful discovery that the nasty kitties have been tinkling in the corners.  I have now had the joy of the extra charge of sanitizing/deodorizing of said carpet.  Also, I was given a, what to me is, reasonable qoute on having our area rug from the family room cleaned.  This is...

Good day
I am haveing a good day, as you would know if you read the title.  Have I mentioned that I hate titles?  Bleah! My Big Daddy arrived.  It is a good thing that I went with him, as he is now full.  Of course, I have two albums in him right now, which are certainly contributing to that. I have 24 boxes of Girl Scout cookies.  Yes, it may seem like a lot, but I have a deep freeze and I wasn’t...

Weekend recap
I don’t really recall what we did Saturday during the day.  Saturday evening I went out scrapbooking.  I went crazy with the die cut machines and overall had fun. Sunday Becca came out front with me to look at all the bulbs coming up.  Then she decided she wanted to walk around the block.  We were quickly overtaken by two little girls in their powerwheels jeep who were followed by their...

My life 2
I can’t sit down without Becca coming up and shoving against me and insisting that she is going to sit in my lap.  While she is wearing nothing but a diaper and a necklace, because she keeps removing the clothing I put on her.  Or she takes a wooden cooking spoon and drapes her cookie monster shirt over it, shoes it in my face and insists that I eat the noodles.  Or she screams...

Butterfly
I am just turning into a social butterfly.  I have historically not been a good social person.  I have also historically not been a nice person.  Motherhood seems to have overly mellowed me.  Ben has pointed out that I am not quite as interesting to others now that I am so much sweetness and light. I have a new friend.  She is interesting with a great sense of humor and is a bit off-the-wall,...

TV shows
Yes, my child watches tv.  After a long loyalty to Wiggles and Sesame Street, she is branching out.  The Little Einsteins had a brief moment in the sun.  They were quickly (a week and a half) supplanted by LazyTown.  Which is still holding, just not in the number one spot. The two new hits are Between the Lions and Reading Rainbow, which Becca pronounces as Read The Rainbow or Ride The Rainbow,...

Yankee Candle
Did you know that you can exchange a Yankee Candle candle after you have burned it?  Neither did I. I went to the store over President’s Day weekend.  They were having a buy one get one 1/2 off sale.  Only on select scents.  One of the employees kept trying to help me select a scent.  I went with Meadow Mist, which I absolutely love and Lily of the Valley.  The employee recommended Lotus...

Things
I have painted the living room.  The color, which was supposed to be a blue/gray with a touch of green, now appears to be a nice powder blue.  Add that to the white trim which was already present, and it has a very ethereal look.  I keep blinking in there, feeling as though my contacts are dried out.  If you concentrate on the red outline (due to the chick who did the red painting getting it all...

Hobby Lobby
Hobby Lobby has the Xyron create-a-sticker on sale this week.  It’s a good sale, but not stampede-worthy.  It’s normally 9.99 or 10.99 on sale for 5.99.  Hobby Lobby is closed on Sundays.  Hence, the sale not beginning until Monday.  I went there Tuesday evening and they were sold out.  I was told they would be restocked on Thursday. I called around 1:30 to see if they had indeed been...

Whiney
I have been told that everyone has a whiney kid.  Mine is definately Magnus.  He is a super-sweet baby, but he can work the whine factor extremely well. He has been fed solids until he started refusing to open his mouth.  He has been given a bottle until he threw it away.  He has had a poopy diaper changed.  He is following me whereever I go to sit at my feet and complain.  He has now been...

Life lessons
Given the beautiful weather today, the kids have been outside playing.  Becca’s cousin Josh came over today, so all four kids have been outside for hours having a blast. I came inside for a moment for a sip of coffee, yes, the drink which is at the root of my kid’s daredevilry, always giving them the opportunity.  I love this house by the way.  A good sized fenced back yard with a...

Goodbye ketchup
The ketchup living room has been fully primered over.  It took me until about 12:30, but I didn’t really get started until 10pm.  I did do a bit of cutting-in earlier in the day. The blue-gray with a slight touch of green paint has been purchased.  The plan is to slap on the paint today.  Nice weather for letting it air out.  Ben has pointed out the problem to our downstairs with this. ...
