here are Rebecca’s hopital photos. they did not turn out very well. someone doesn’t like to open her eyes much. no, the hat does not fit her, but it was knit by my great-grandmother for my mom to wear, the dress is the one that I came home from the hopital in. traditions are nice.
parenthood seems to change people. I don’t know yet what all has changed about me. On the drive home from the hospital today, I discovered one of the things changes about Ben. He did not go even onw mile over the speed limit. He did not pass anyone. He complained about every car that passed us going too fast and the drivers being on their cell phones. It was rather humorous.
So far Rebecca has messed two outfits today and with dad’s help, peed all over the terry cloth cover of the changing pad, as well as spit up in her crib and bassinet. Lucky me, unlucky Ben, I am not allowed to take the stairs more than once a day for the next 1-2 weeks, and the washer/dryer are in the basement. I had thought we would have enough clothes to make it until I was able to get to them, but not at this rate.
