Rebecca and I just returned from our first walk on the path in our neighborhood. I’m sure I was an attractive sight, as I haven’t gotten around to showering yet today, and I can’t begin to try to remember the last time I shaved my legs. But we went. Me with my glow-in-the-dark skin and hairiness and Rebecca with her sunhat with the chin strap and sunglasses. It was pleasant, but a bit hot. Most of the path is nicely shaded. For future reference, I need to bring a bottle of water. If I’m going to attempt something relatively healthy such as walking, I probably shouldn’t be drinking a coke while I do so.
It is rather nice getting a look into people’s backyards and gardens. There is one house whose deck is built practically into a cliff face. Or as much of a cliff as you will find in St. Peters. If I were them, I would be concerned about mudslides. Another really good storm and their house will wash away.
I think I will go downstairs and get my Bellydance for Fitness tape and give it a try. I have lost all of my pregnancy weight, plus an extra 20 pounds, putting me at a weight I haven’t been for about 8 years, but if your abs aren’t toned, it really doesn’t matter.
It’s a good thing it was just me and Rebecca for the video. Someone was laughing at Mommy quite a lot.
