As you may have noticed, if you visited Ben’s site, Becca appears to be teething.  Last week and over the weekend, we were dealing with sudden pain screaming and fevers.  This week, she has moved past that.  We now have the joy of teething diarreah.  Very loose, very yellow, regardless of the color of food she eats.  Very stinky.  My baby takes after me.  When she wakes up in the morning, she starts her day by expelling any gas which may have built up overnight.  Yesterday was so bad that I had to flap the covers.  Impressive.

So we got up yesterday.  I put her down in the family room and went to start a pot of coffee for me.  I walk back to the family room (right next door, without a full wall, for those who haven’t seen our house) to discover a treat.  She had had so much poo that it had shot out the side of the diaper, leaving a cat-sized pile of poo on my carpet.  I picked her up, took her to her changing table (which gets used all the time, despite one person telling me they were stupid wastes of money), cleaned her up, cleaned up the resultant mess on the changing table, stick her in a diaper only, deposit baby in crib.  I then went to  scrub up poo from the carpet, start water in the tub and begin the soak of her clothing.  I’m not really sure how long I took since depositing baby, but it couldn’t have been more than 10 minutes, tops.  I pick up baby to put her in the bath, only to discover that she has decided, out of the goodness of her heart, to share more poo with me.  And the crib.  Such a generous child!  I had thought that it took more time to refuel.  Apparently I was wrong.

I thought this would be a nice break for you all.  I know how greatly you have missed reading about Becca’s poo.

On a side note, I would welcome gift ideas for Becca for Christmas.  My dilemna is that all the toys for her current age, she probably will lose interest in about one to two months.  The toys for the older ages I am unsure about.  Keep in mind that her birthday is February 3.  Not that I am planning to skimp on her Christmas visit from Santa, mind you.  Just that some things that are for older kids can hold off til then.
