Ben and I went to Jess and Allen’s for dinner tonight. This was our first official invite since they moved into their apartment. Actually, Allen moved into their apartment right away. Jess waited until she could find a replacement home for her dog, Reggie. So Jess hasn’t lived there for quite a full week.

It’s always nice to go to someone’s home and steal their plants. Jess gave me a night-blooming cirrus. I have no idea if that is how it is spelled. I don’t very much care. I also got some cuttings from one of her plants. I don’t even know the name for this particular plant, but I have one myself. Mine is very lopsided. I got the cuttings from work, eight years ago. I gave them to my mom. She finally gave up on the plant this spring, and gave it to me. Hopefully, the cuttings will take root, so I can even the plant up a bit.

Jess and Allen also had picked up a venus fly trap for Ben. I ordered on off the web for him last month, but theirs looks a lot better. They got it a Schnuck’s floral department. Why don’t I see these cool plants there?

I’m really liking my collection of house plants. Unfortunately, their maintenance is very low. I think I need some more needy plants.
