I had my appt with the perinatologist yesterday.  If their scale is adjusted the same as my ob’s scale, then I have only put on 2 lbs in the last 3 weeks.  I will find out for sure next week.  That would be due to starting the diabetic diet.  With Becca, I started losing weight on that diet.

Everything looks fine right now.  My dr’s office forgot to test to see if I am anemic.  That is something they typically do with the one hour GTT, and since I went straight to the 3 hour, noone thought to have the lab check that.

I have been told I need to up my protein.  Last night I sat here snacking on cottage cheese.  Ugh.  A half cup portion has 13 grams of protein.  I got several high protein no-carb snacks at Schnucks last night.  They all look yucky.  Sticks of straight cheese.  I like my cheese on crackers, but they are carb-loaded.  Vienna sausages.  Do I even need to comment on those?  And the cottage cheese.  Yum.  Right.

I am 26 weeks measuring 32 weeks.  I feel alot bigger than that.  Unlike with Becca, I am carrying all in front down low with a narrow belly.  It does not help my clothing fit.

The peri said that I would definately not go past 38 weeks.  She said the twin mortality rate starts to increase then, due to the placentas degrading.  If I am still pregnant Memorial Day weekend, she will be asking my ob why he hasn’t scheduled my section.  She also said that if I ended up going until then, I won’t need an amnio or anything like that.  This is the first I have heard amnio mentioned.  Interesting.
