At the boys dr’s appt on Friday, the dr felt something by Magnus’ right testicle.  She thought it was more likely excess fluid around the sperm cord, but wanted him checked by a surgeon to make sure it wasn’t a hernia.  We saw the surgeon today.  It is a hernia.  With Magnus having the one hernia discovered by manual exam at such an early age, there is a 30-40% chance that he has another on the other side.  Magnus will be having surgery to the one on July 29.  At that time, they will send a scope over to the other side to see if there is one there.  If so, they will go ahead and correct it then.
