Becca had her first swim lesson today. For part of it, I had to lift her out of the pool onto the floor for her to jump to me. She didn’t jump. I had to lift her back into the pool on the jump cue, so that she would learn how to do this. The water depth was 3.5 feet. Becca weighs 40 pounds. We repeated this procedure approx. 15 times. My back is now messed up.
Becca had a blast with her swim lesson. She was singing in the pool and jumping with her feet braced on my thighs, ‘Becca jumping in swim class’. She cried when it was time to get out. That’s okay. Another girl about her age cried, too.
I started taping up the foyer/hallway for painting. Becca decided to help. There are now many little strips of painter’s tape scattered all over the walls in there. She is very proud of herself. She has really gotten into helping out lately.
I have been using Pamper’s diapers on Becca for over a year. The Huggies brand left too many crystals on her skin, whether I changed her often or not. I had not used Luvs because they aren’t stretchy in the back, and back in the days of Becca diaper blowouts, that was the area that was always hit. I had not realized that Luvs have Blue from Blue’s Clues on them. Blue is Becca’s new obsession. I decided to try Luvs on the boys, as they rarely have blowouts, and they tend to be on the side when they do occur. Becca has asked us to put the boys diapers on her, because of Blue. I went ahead and bought a small package of the Luvs diapers in her size. Tonight she held up one of the boys diapers, laid down, and annouced it was time for a change. It really wasn’t. But these diapers make her happy.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we were all made happy by cheap diapers?
